There was some historical chat about using RP 75-90 as it seems to meet the same specs as SG1. Also discussed on Bob is the oil guy.
I have RP readily available in the garage for my truck, and was considering swapping that into the diff. The bottle specifically says non-corrosive to softer metals and is gl4 and gl5 compatible. (plus, don't trust Mazda as they were blowing up diffs as we all know). If there is no SG1 alternative, don't they have to provide it for free?
For those that have used RP, please confirm if your diff grenaded or not.
For anyone recommending SG1 only, can you share oil analysis results or any evidence that is beyond speculation?
I've had the CX50 for 3 years, and plan on being active on the forum from now on. However, noticed a lot of good discussions seemed to die off without a conclusion for a newcomer like me looking for answers.
