Picked up a set of winter wheels (17in) online and when I put them on this weekend the bolts seemed really far in compared to the stock 20in wheels. These winter wheels are 17X7.5- 5x114.3 67.1/42offset. I got 9 full turns with my lug nut to secure them on, but still a little worried if that’s enough????

That is plenty. I believe the recommended minimum is 4-6 turns. Just make sure they are torqued to the proper Mazda dry torque specification. Also under no circumstances do you ever use anti-seize on your wheel studs/lugnuts.

Thanks. I read that too about the turns just wanted to be sure (or reassured, lol) I did torque them to 85 (manual says 80-108!) and never use anti-seize :).
