Just wondering if there is anyone in the Toronto area that has purchased a winter tire package for their CX-50. I'm looking for a recommendation for a tire shop other than a dealership (that tried to get me to pay for the package in advance when booking an appointment). Also wondering if winter tires for the CX-5 also fit on the CX-50 if I buy used.

Hey! For our Mazda 3, we used 1010Tires in Mississauga. There was a site wide 10% off at the time (2020). I think it was decently priced for what we got (18” Fast Wheels with Yokohama Ice Guards) and we definitely should’ve downsized for winter. We traded the 3 in for a CX-50 Meridian Edition, so we may hold off on getting winters and see how the all terrains handle for now but we would definitely go back to 1010Tires for winters.

Hey I got mine from Advan Tire in Scarborough. I went with VikingContact 7 225/60R18. They are reasonably priced. With alloy wheels, tires and tpms it cost me $2350 all in.

Yes, cx-5 and cx-50 wheels and tires should be interchangeable.

How many of you stepped back to 17" from 20"? Seems like a lot; considering 18", but not convinced. Any thoughts?

The dealers seem to be offering packages with 17", but I'm going with 18". Prefer more wheel and less rubber, but it comes with an additional cost.
