Can anyone here share their experience of swapping the stock Goodyear Eagle Touring 245/45R20 tires for another (better performance? quieter?) summer or all-season tire of the same size? Did it make a clearly noticeable difference or a marginal one? How so?

I do not find the ride harsh as it is, in contrast to some folks on the board, and rather enjoy the perceived connection with the road.

Thanks, and cheers!

Sorry no personal experience, but from my research Continentals and the Pirelli Scorpion AS Plus 3s apparently are quieter tire.

I have not swapped tires (yet) However, I would wager that swapping them with a better tire would make a difference. Here in Miami we have tire shops that buy used tires all the time. I am going to shop them to see what they would buy my tires for and if it's good I will get new tires.

Other than my dislike for Bridgestones (long story that parallels Sony products) your other two choices are outstanding. Don’t forget Continental they also build a top quality tire.
