Picked up my Soul Red Crystal non-turbo Prem. plus CX50 Sunday!🥰
Gorgeous CX-50 @EMMSCX50 welcome to the forum! What do you think of it so far? What were you driving before?
I am really enjoying driving the CX-50. I had a 2010 RX350 that I drove for 12 years! Also, in the late 80's, I had a Mazda RX-7 that I drove for five or six years! I've always had a fondness for Mazda'sGorgeous CX-50 @EMMSCX50 welcome to the forum! What do you think of it so far? What were you driving before?
Lovely simply lovely 😍 One good thing though about both those models is yes they may have been brand new "models" But were built off of the pre-existing model 3 platform and the same skyactiv engine across the line. So not much of a guinea pig needed as the platform wasn't new mainly just the housing around the frame so to speak. Have you had any issues with the CX50 yet?Actually my wife and I have a pair now, although hers is a CX-30. Side note hers was also a "first year" car. When buying my CX-50, the salesman commented, "You guys sure don't mind being Guinea pigs do you?"

We ordered our Soul Red TPP in February and took delivery on March 1st. Odometer went over 1000K miles yesterday. Love the car! The red color is almost a candy red and looks gorgeous! I have a hard time it under the speed limit!😁Hello all. New to the forum. Appreciate any insight you all can offer. I'm just days away from potentially ordering a Soul Red CX-50 TPP. Went to the annual car show today and saw a red one up close for the first time. What surprised (borderline shocked) me was when I opened the doors and rear hatch. For how insanely gorgeous the red is on the outside...inside the door jams and elsewhere, it was a hideous almost salmon orange color (pic below). Is this really how all red ones look "behind the scenes"? I checked out the other models Mazda had on display in a variety of colors, incl. another CX-50 in Zircon Sand, and none of them had mismatched colors outside vs. inside. Thoughts? Welcome to the forum @Bode! My guess is that's something Mazda did so they can get that CX-50 done quickly and ready for shows. On actual production models I don't think it'll be an issue.Hello all. Congratulations on getting your CX-50 @03acerider! What's stood out the most to you about it over the past month? We ordered our Soul Red TPP in February and took delivery on March 1st. The way the car handles, the luxurious interior, and how quick it is! We have a 16 CX5 and the 50 is way beyond it. I do wish the wireless charger would work longer than a couple of minutes however.Congratulations on getting your CX-50 @03acerider! What's stood out the most to you about it over the past month?
Thanks for the reply. Seems kinda weird though, since at this show (Minneapolis/St. Paul) other than the specialty or next year model cars that are up on pedestals where folks can't really climb in them...all the other cars on the show floor come from local dealer stock. This one had a window sticker on it and everything. So it wasn't a "show car" in the sense that it is/was created just to travel around to shows and not intended to be owned by someone.Welcome to the forum @Bode! So, I just went out and checked mine and you're correct, the paint is not exactly the same. That said, I never noticed it until you posted this, so it's definitely not that noticeable in daylight. I read an article a few weeks ago that this paint is unique among the Mazda paint, it's multi-layered and not just a single coat application. When I closely examined the door jam paint, it appears like it does not have the "top" coat, perhaps a clear coat, but it's not as "shiny" as the exterior paint. Anyways, I personally wouldn't let this stop you from getting the color, it's awesome!Hello all. New to the forum. Appreciate any insight you all can offer. I noticed the same thing in ours but I’m not going to stare at the inside of the doors. So, I just went out and checked mine and you're correct, the paint is not exactly the same.
