2023 PT. Haven't even had the car a week. Wife got this on the way to work. Sunny clear sky with minimal traffic. Read this was an issue with the CX-30. Will continue to monitor.

Agree with ZeekZirconPPT. This is not an unusual occurrence. Our CX-50 (and our CX-5) have encountered this when heading into direct sun low on the horizon or with fog or frost conditions. Clears up fast enough.

Assuming all it was was a sunny day, it should. It is possible it may require a few key cycles (start, stop, start, stop normal usage). I'd be curious to know if it does correct or not though.
The wife was driving it on her way to work and I asked if it resolved itself. She said it did, was only on 3-5 minutes. She left that detail out when she told me

Sadly it happened to my spouse today. When I got home she told me about it. It was clear weather so there should not have been any issues. Like you stated I will keep my eye on it and also mention it to the service department during my service.

I have found the Mazdas camera ultra sensitive to the above noted conditions.
Happened to me once with massive snowflakes, then with road spray from slushy roads, but the adaptive cruise continued to function normally, so radar was not affected.

This happens whenever the front facing camera's view is blocked. Could be snow or frost on the windshield or even the bright sun. It can't warn you of anything if it cant see! No worries of system here!

Haven't had this issue yet with the CX-50, but my wife's CX-30 gets it frequently when driving directly into the sun (our main road is an east/west road). It will clear up as soon as either the car is facing another direction or the sun gets sufficiently high.

I get this with our CX-50 (currently down in Florida). Never saw it in the CX-5

Yeah, this happens with mine whenever its remotely cold outside for the first 7-10 minutes. Did it this morning and it was 44 degrees outside. Could be where the sensors are placed

The radar sensors will become inactive when the front is heavily packed with snow. My experience is that the system will reactivate itself after the snow has been removed and the sensor warms up a bit. The cruise control will not operate when the "safety and support systems" are temporarily disabled, even if the cruise distance setting is turned off.

Mine does. I had ACC on when I got the message and it continued to function. I think it’s a broad statement when the message appears as mine occurred from a dirty windshield in melting slop. So the camera functions were disabled not the radar.
