Are you saying that if I disable ALC in the menu that the engine noise goes away too? I have the upper end Bose, but have never been a fan of synthetic noise. I prefer things to be as quiet as possible (except music). Volume is easy enough to change.

No. I am confirming that if you cut or disconnect the green line into the stock amplifier that the synthetic engine noise is disabled. I imagine that the Bose system has the same input with the same result.

Thanks for the clarification. I'd rather do it in software, though. I might ask my dealer when I pick up my car. It's been in the shop about 60 days now from the tree damage. Waiting on one sensor to come in. The rest is done. Can't wait to get it back.
