Mazda paint is very thin and weak so I am not sure what this ceramic coating will help with......my friend owns a detail shop and always laughs at naive customers requesting ceramic coating.
He claims that it has absolutely no benefits over normal - high quality paste wax like Ardex Topaz, but costs much more. It is a new snake oil in the detail industry.

If you truly want protection - film is the only way to go.

I would not trust article that is written by place that does the service. I am an engineer and do not think there is any substitute to high quality paste wax applied once a month.
Anything that improves the durability and adds a hydrophobic coating will be beneficial. Even with high quality waxes one bird dropping on your car in hot temperatures can be permanently etched in your clearcoat.

That said, I did the paint protection film from XPEL on my CX-50.
