I have a Turbo Premium Plus white/black coming in the next couple of weeks. My first SUV/Crossover in almost 30 years and a bit nervous to leave my normal sports sedan past. My new job requires I drive on work sites from time to time and my G70 is not up to that task.

Looking forward to gaining some Mazda knowledge and sharing pics soon!

Congrats!
Manage your expectations on the arrival date. Mazda is not providing good information on arrival dates. When I put a deposit down in late April, I was told good chance the arrival would be in mid-May which then turned into 2 months and several dates that came and went. I also had to travel to another state to find Wind Chill Pearl.

Best of luck!

I’ve just moved from a sedan and 2x4 pickup to the CX-50 and had my first off road excursion on a work site last week. The CX maneuvered around in the loose sloping dirt well and with a nice turning radius. The car would never do this and the truck would struggle with some wheel spin on the grade.

Picked up my CX-50 tonight!!! I really like the pearl, just enough to give it a sparkle but not so much it looks like an old Cadillac I hadn't seen one in person so a bit of a leap. The front end is the best part of the car in my opinion, it looks wide and feels lower than it really is.

Impressed with the ride, easy to drive and confidence inspiring. The active cruise worked well in highway traffic, a bit better than the Genesis. Got a few fun bits to install like sport pedals, lighted sill plates, rocker accents. I am trying to decide if I want the carpet mat for the rear or the rubber one with seat back protection, any thoughts from anyone with either would be great. I was glad to see they have a spot to store the cargo cover under the rear floor when not in use. The app works better/quicker than the Genesis app but has less features.

A little comparison to the size of my wife's X3 M40i, excuse my garage :poop:

The Wind Chill Pearl arrived; nice!
Lucky you no factory crossbars. The crossbars actually look excellent on the CX50 but make so much noise I removed them.

Looking Great!!!

As for the cargo mats. I actually drove to another Mazda dealer to pick up the mats and elected not to buy. They stick to the sides and how long will they remain glued to the side before they fall, takes away space due to rubber sticking out. Also, dresses up the cargo area to be more rugged. If you install rubber mats, please let me know your thoughts and send a few pics. They might be really nice.

Yakima is probably releasing the crossbars within a few weeks, and Weathertech should have the cargo mat in near future.

Congrats!!

I was thinking about getting the cargo mat if I decide to get a CX50, but sounds like a bad idea? Curious, is it installed via glued in and not just a drop down? Also, what do you mean when you say “rubber sticks out and takes away cargo space”?

When I looked at the cargo siding and mat the sides have 3-inch circles that stick to the side of the cargo area which may not work long-term. The rubber material that protects the cargo area is roughly 1/2 inch thick? When I took it out of the box I elected not to buy it. I would want to see it already installed. They have pictures on the Mazda website under accessories. It might be a great product. I was just not ready to make that purchase and want to find just a cargo mat to replace the carpet in the cargo area.
