I finally got to take my CX-50 on a highway trip and check out the radar cruise control. While it did stop the car in time, it felt rather abrupt. I had to hold my foot over the brake pedal and resist the urge to manually brake. I know the spacing can be adjusted, but it didn't seem to affect the braking. Thoughts?

I don’t trust any of the safety systems offered in cars today as a driving aid. If it is there to help as a last resort because someone is not paying attention, fine. These aids should not replace good driving habits. Unfortunately, I think that’s what these have become.
