Wife and I live outside of Chicago. We spent a week in Kentucky exploring and hiking the Land Between the Lakes. We didn't do any hardcore off-road trails but, there were a bunch of dirt roads that I don't think our other crossover could have handled. The Cx50 impressed me, even with the 20" wheels and shitty oem tires! I'll eventually swap to a better setup but pretty fun trip. No damage or scraping even when I got a bit more adventurous.

There was one damaged part during the trip though... One of my dogs chewed my armrest trying to get crumbs inside. sigh

Nice! Guess it can handle the trails well but Mazda may need to work on making the interiors a bit more teeth proof but hey better the arm rest than your arm.

The 4WD/AWD is very underrated in Mazda's crossovers. Especially when you add the extra clearance of the CX5 it will be better.
