I expect to look like a stretched version of the CX-50 with some upscale treatment to the interior and exterior, since the CX-50 sort of kicked off Mazda's new design language.
The CX90 will be revealed in full on January 31stI was almost excited until today’s video was just parts that will be assembled over the next three weeks or so? Ah well, we will find out soon enough.
I am happy with my 50 anyway. I don’t need something wanting me to trade in/up - at least not yet! Haha
I was recently quoted by all the big online dealers (Carmax, Carvana, Vroom) and I was offered just at 30k for my 3k mile turbo CX50. Dealers may do a little better for you. One thing is for certain is the CX50s appear they will not be holding their values well.I wonder if someone has experience with upgrading to a more expensive vehicle at a Mazda dealership. Let's say I get overly excited with CX90 and decide to trade in my five months old CX50. How much trade-in value can I expect? Any thoughts?

That is a bummer to hear... I have to imagine Dealers are playing it as safe as possible right now, many are sitting on a bunch of used inventory they over paid on a few months ago that they're going to lose money on if they want to move it. Its possible they are unwilling buy anything that isn't a "great deal" at the moment... but I am no expert in used car values and thats pure speculation... hopefully it all levels out soonI was recently quoted by all the big online dealers (Carmax, Carvana, Vroom) and I was offered just at 30k for my 3k mile turbo CX50. Sort of I guess. Here is the jist from an Autoblog article:"we took the torque converter out"
Does that mean it's a DCT?
Powertrain Performance Manager Jay Chen describes how engineers eliminated the traditional automatic transmission's large, bell-shaped torque converter to make the engine and gearbox unit more compact. Like on the CX-60, the eight-speed will use multi-plate clutches, planetary gears, and an integrated electric motor. Beyond the advantages to quicker shifting, it also lets the engine sit further back against the transmission tunnel. "That opened up some of the space for the front area to have more steering angle, proper sports car suspension," Chen explains in the video.
