Mazda Rear Scuff Plate And Illuminated Front Plate

Ordered from Mazda Parts Factor cost $224 for front and rear.
Packaged as a set with product Id VA40-V1-370. Easy DIY project. Instructions were easy to follow. I didn’t remove the plastic lower sill door trim piece or lift up the lower door weather strip as the instructions stated. Had no issues except getting the magnet placed in the correct spot underneath the bottom of the door to trigger the illuminated sill plate when the door is opened. I instead placed the magnet directly on the illuminated sill in the location that triggered the light to illuminate. I then closed the door. The magnet attached itself to the lower underneath portion of the the door. Next I opened the door and covered the magnet with the black square tape piece that was provided to prevent scratches and to keep the magnet from moving. This worked for me on both front doors. Rear sills do not illuminate. I like the look and I am pleased with the results.
