I have the CX-50 turbo premium and plan to have the dealer install the Mazda OEM trailer hitch with 7-pin harness which is the one Mazda recommends for the turbo models. But noticed on the Mazda accessory website (Mazda Build & Price Your Vehicle) their is a 4-pin harness which is recommended for the non-turbo CX-50. Being new to trailer hitches, was wondering why the 4- and 7-pin harnesses are recommended for the non-turbo and turbo models?, respectively (has it something to do with the different loads these models can tow), thanks

7 pin unlocks tow-mode on the turbo and allows for trailer braking, and control of all lights.
