CX-5 is definitely Mazda's bread and butter. According to these numbers, a staggering 58% of their sales were CX-5s, in comparison to 8% belonging to CX-50s. Let's see if the CX-50 gains momentum next year.

Yep, I think Mazda always planned to keep the CX5 as it is global the CX50 certainly is more tailored for the Americas. Both are fine vehicles and as you even find on this forum one is a bit more tailored for the everyday more urban driver than the other. I believe , at least for some years to come, both will be sold to gain market share in a more trail / off road vehicle where they had no significant presence. The CX5 as CX50 is a great vehicle in its price point .

Wonder if the lower sales are due to a lower volume and/or higher trim models being sold for the CX-50. Would be good to see how many CX-50's are made versus sold, and which trim levels are being made; relative to the CX-5.

There were significant production delays early in the year, to my knowledge nearly ZERO CX-50's were produced in April 2022 and very little in May 2022
