Mazda CX-5 Vs Mazda CX-50: What Are The Real Differences?

During my research, I have read and viewed a lot of reviews, many of them comparisons of the CX-5 vs. CX-50. This Ben fellow is the only reviewer who ever opined that the CX-5 interior is "nicer" than the CX-50. Also, he is alone in claiming that the CX-50 ride is "squishy" compared to the CX-5. Coming from the Jeep World, I would like to assure Mr. Hardy that "squishy" is not a ride quality that off-roaders look for. Finally, is he filming these videos during his lunch breaks, or what's up with the 90-words-per-second narration? I'm going out on a limb and guessing that Hardy is a YouTube hobbyist with opinions and not a qualified automotive journalist.
Well, a high trim CX5 Turbo or Turbo Signature is quite a fine interior (the video has a CX5 Turbo). Definitely equal in feel and warmth. The black headliner in the CX5 Turbo and Cx5 Turbo Signature is nicer IMO than the CX50 light headliner. The console is much nicer imo in the cx50.

Having owned a 2016 CX5 (160k miles) and the CX50 (23k miles) both are great on the road. Having been able to drive a CX5 Turbo Signature in comparison to the CX50 TPP, to me the 50 drives more like the Mazda6 (I had a 2018 Turbo Signature Mazda6 also). I would definitely score the 50 higher in driveability.

That said, the CX5 is brillant in just about everyday. My 2016 did great dealing with a 4600 mile road trip over 10 days last August.
