- When starting the car remotely with the app, does the rear window defogger button light up:
a) A/C turned off and outside temperature is 40 F (5 C) or less .
This does not occur in my cx50 GL-S. According to the manual (Connected Service Manual): "the rear window defogger, windshield wiper de-icer and mirror defoggers will automatically turn on if the outside temperature is 40 F (5 C) or less to melt any snow and ice If the engine was last turned off with the A/C turned off " .
b) If the rear window defogger button was on before the vehicle was shut off normally and the later remotely started with the app
In my case, the rear button does not light up.

Are both cases normal?

Do you also have your climate control on auto in the settings of the actual vehicle? That will link the climate control to the seats defrosters and the heat or AC based on the outside temperature. This way when you start the car it's not only based off of your last settings but the actual climate outside.

I have the "auto" setting off. I will try it with the "auto" setting on. Thanks
