So this upcoming weekend if time permits, I will be attempting to install the muffler I took off my CX 30 before I traded it in for the 50. If it doesn’t fit, I do know it fits my wife’s M3. But I won’t tell her that I put it on her vehicle and just wait for the WTF?🤣

Didn’t fit, lower bumper tailpipe openings were too narrow. Never would have thought that.
So it goes on the wife’s 3 next weekend. Can hardly wait until she starts it up for the first time.🤣

Do you happen to have a picture of the test fit? Magnaflow website says it has 4" tips, I measured the opening of the lower bumper and its a little over 4".

It’s not the diameter of the openings that were the issue, with the 50 being wider the openings for tailpipes were further outside the centerline of the vehicle. Hope that makes sense.

I have a Vibrant 10633 exhaust can with Vibrant 4 1/2" / 115mm tips that I bought years ago and never installed. The can is center inlet so it will sit off-center, but should fit as it measures 24" w x 5" high x 9" deep (front to back). I just checked and there is about 2" of space above the oem can and the heat shield, so the new one should not be a problem for the installer. Test fitted the 4.5" / 115mm tips and it has roughly 1/4" / 6mm of space all around it. If the can does not fit then I'll just replace the tips and/or go FULL COMMANDO and delete the muffler too. 😁
