Hello everyone,

I am looking to buy a used car and I have found one that seems to fit my needs, but I'm not sure if it's a good deal. It's a 2019 MAZDA CX-5 and the title is listed as rebuilt. The asking price is $18,900

I'm hoping someone here can help me decide if this is a good deal or not. I'm trying to figure out if the price is fair, if the engine is reliable, and if there are any hidden issues that I should be aware of. I'm also wondering if there are any other cars in this price range that I should consider instead.

Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

A pre-owned Mazda CX-5 is a terrific choice. We have had our 2018 for over 4 years with no real issues. Not much information provided, such as mileage, ownership, maintenance records on your subject vehicle. But first and foremost why is the title branded "rebuilt"? Major issue. Does the seller offer a Car Fax? Although a Car Fax isn't foolproof, you have something to go with.
There are enough options out there that I would skip a vehicle with a branded title. Even if there is some reasonable explanation, you'll need to deal with the brand when you try to sell the car.

A rebuilt title is a VERY scary thought, ESPECIALLY after the host of recent storms and flooding. Flood damaged cars are prone to electrical, corrosion and mold issues that may pop up months or years later. Crash-damaged cars may have alignment, tire wear and plain safety/solidity issues. Do not go any further unless you a) know what happened to the car, and b) know what exactly was done to fix it (with records). In either case, unless you are familiar with cars, don't even bother to go further with this one.
