I ran into this last weekend, was on a Scout campout with my son and had opened and closed it a number of times as we packed up and at one point it would not open anymore and beeped twice at me. Fob, hatch button and inside button would not open it. Once I started up the car it opened. I wondered if this was a battery protection since I had been in and out of it throughout the day without starting the car.
Hatch would not open today
Today Hatch operated as usual but when came back to car to open it a few hours later fob function would not work. Then tried the button to do from hatch itself. No go- it wasn’t until I started car turned off and back on and messed around a bit eventually was able to open it with button on hatch. Anyone ever experience that before? Also anyone know how to open it again in future if can’t use fob or button?

This happens to me on occasion as well, Rok440T. Typically I just restart the car and it works again. Just a bug in the system I think.
