Hello everyone, new member here but a longtime Mazda owner. The CX-50 is our 10th Mazda since 2006 and will not be our last.

Yesterday we picked up my wife's new DD, a 2023 Preferred Plus in polymetal grey. It came with the cargo mat (still not sure how it makes sense to protect carpet by laying another piece of carpet on top) and the cargo package (cargo blocks and cargo net). As part of our deal, we had the OEM all weather mats and cargo liner with seatback protection thrown in. She has loved the styling of the CX-50 since I showed her the launch photos and has loved the the PGM color since it came out. Now she has the best of both worlds sitting in the garage. 😁

I have been tasked to Hyperdip the emblems and the silver trim on the C-pillars gloss black and replace the silver lugs with black ones. For the C-pillars and front emblem, I might look into vinyl vs the Hyperdip. She also wants window visors but so far I have not found anyone making them for the CX-50.

Welcome.
Sounds like your wife has some style. The blackout treatment is on my radar once the weather here is more conducive to application temperatures.
Window visors, yeah nada…..yet. I have searched too, being a first year production vehicle can be a pain for accessories.
Post some pics when you have the blackout done, as I would really like to see the look.

Cheers.

Thank you @Trickster

It is funny as on all of her past vehicles, including her last two CX-5s all she would let me add is window visors. The vehicle was simple point A to point B transportation. Yes, way too cold here now to be outside applying Hyperdip. Most likely I will do it in May/June. I will def. post up some pics and the blackout would look great on your zircon too!

Good point about the window visors but I thought for sure that Weathertech or AVS might have something out by now? I even contacted Mazda of Toronto to see if they had access to OEM but sadly they do not. I reached out to them as they were able to ship OEM window visors for our brand new 2010 Mazda3 when there was no OEM (US market) or aftermarket available.

Here is a pic of our new besties. :)

@Trickster I am not getting my hopes up but I sent an inquiry into AutoExe earlier about their sport window visors and if they had any plans to make them for the CX-50. I saw another thread on here where they developed a full body kit for the CX-60. This leaves me with a small glimmer of hope. I will post in here once I hear back from them.

Window visor update @Trickster AutoExe reached back out to me and my fear was confirmed. Since the CX-50 is not sold in the Japanese market they have no current plans to develop any parts for it. 😞 This is a bummer as they have a catalog of great JDM parts for the rest of the Mazda lineup.

Thanks for checking that out.
This confirms my suspicion that the 50 is in such a limited marketplace (North America), that there will much fewer specific aftermarket parts for it.
At least it does share some bits with the CX30 so if it’s not body related there may be a few.

You are welcome although I had selfish intentions. haha

This was my suspicion too but I was holding out hope until I got the confirmation. I wonder if CorkSport will be looking to add to their small list of parts currently available?

I can see them including the CAI, axle back exhaust maybe. I tried the Magnaflow from CX 30 but the tailpipes didn’t fit the lower fascia on the 50.
So the wife now had a bit of sound on her M3 hatch. She likes it, thankfully.
