We recently purchased a cx50 despite my reluctance to ever buy a car in its’ inaugural year. We have owned three cx5s previously, but really needed the extra room that the 50 provides. My wife just drove about 400 miles and has informed me that the seat is much too hard for her. I have more padding. My initial observations are that, while it is decidedly noisier than the 5, it is not a deal breaker. (With the Thule- ready crossbars installed this is another matter). We have not had any issues regarding the heater/defroster and we live in a snow belt.
Happy to be here and looking forward to viewing comments and gaining knowledge.

Welcome aboard.
As I just commented in the thread “Would you buy the 50 again?”
The 50 is not really an all new vehicle seeing as it shares many components with the 30.
I too was of the same mindset with all new designed first year production vehicles having been bit once on a BMW motorcycle. After owning my 30 for almost a year and my wife a 3 equally as long we experienced no failures, which gave me the courage to go ahead on the 50. So far so good. 🤞🏻
