Hi, I could'nt find an existing thread that answers to my question. I have a 2025 Turbo and had the dealer install the OEM hitch and 7 pin connector. I've been pulling a small trailer and the Trailer Mode turns on, so all good on that point. My question is that I will be purchasing a 2400LBS rv trailer that has electric brakes. The part advisor at my dealer (who had to talk to 5 other people at the dealership...) came back and told me I don't have to add an external brake controller...So, if I interpret my dealers answer, this would mean that the brake controller is integrated into the Trailer Mode or something of that sort...Does this even make sense? I also spoke to a trailer dealer and he tells me there are no connectors for brake controllers on CX50...So I'm even more dizzy about all that. Anyone went through this headache ?

I pull a 2,500-lb ski boat and a 2000-lb trailer with quad behind mine almost daily in the summertime in the mountains of Montana with my turbo. That's exactly why I bought it. Zero issues with trailer sway or braking. The ONLY issue I ever had was that it got hot enough over a long mountain pass in Colorado once that a warning indicator came on and I had to pull over and let it cool down. Otherwise it pulls like a dream. Of course I don't drive like an idiot with it, either. Also, don't expect to get more than about 12 mpg when you tow with it!
