I will contact them tomorrow this really should not be happening at 1600 miles I have had someone back there no more than 10-15 times and the other side is a car seat. Toughest thing someone wears is jeans which should not cause this plus since it is coming apart at the seam that just shows they did not sew it correctly... also since this is happening to more than one of us so early it shows it is manufacturer error.. This is my first Mazda and I love the car, but this is the first drawback... its only been 2 months.Definitely get that in ASAP. I am finding that Mazda is not super willing to warranty anything that could be deemed wear and tear. This becomes especially true if you are out of the "adjustment period" which best I can tell is within the first year.
Had the same fraying on my rear seat and the dealer also opted to repair by shaving the frayed fabric and tucking in loose stitches. Still looks ok 4 months after the repair. Dealer asked me to monitor it and if it got worse, they would replace the seat during the warranty period.Update: Mazda is going to cover a repair for the seat when I take it in for my first service, the dealer stated if a repair is not sufficient they will replace the whole back seat.
Same here. I noticed it when I was installing the all weather mats in the back. No one has yet sat on those seat. I have less than 100 miles on the vehicle. I will be going to see the dealer today/tomorrow.First year production vehicles are going to have some issues.
Owners are the ‘Beta’ testers so drive it like you stole it in the first year to see what happens under your 1st year of warranty.🤣
