FYI, that mind-altering chimes volume can be lowered somewhat in the infotainment settings. Going to ask dealer if there is a hack to deactivate it. No idea what Mazda was thinking with that.

I actually don't mind it. The intent is clearly to make you put it on... ya know, to hopefully save your life in the event of an accident, so hey, how can I be upset over that lol. But as someone said above, buckle up before you start the ignition and ya won't hear it at all.
My issue is, if I’m driving and a rear passenger leans on the center seat, it will start chiming and won’t stop chiming until I turn the car off and back on.
