20 inch tire replacement

I have seen numerous threads on this. In the intereats of capturing any recent experiences from forum members, a few questions.

I can live with the 20 inch wheel but want to replace the Goodyears with (in order of preference) Continental or Michelin tire. I am leaning to a relatively smooth 3 season tire with as much of a Terrain appearance as possible. Possibilities are: Continental Terrain Contact HT and the Michelin Defender 2. The Michelin CrossClimate is also a possibility.

The problem is the 245 45 20 is not available on most excellent quality A/T or H/T tires (the wet weather performance matters in Metro Vancouver).

Q1: Has anyone installed these tires on the OEM 20 rim? What size, any issues, experience with them, and photos?

Q2: If you went to an 18 inch rim, I am looking at these options:

FAST HD OVERLAND (PAINTED/GLOSS BLACK)
WHEELS 18X7.5, 5/114.3 OFFSET:40

DAI ALLOYS AUTOBAHN (PAINTED/MATTE
BLACK) WHEELS 18X8, 5/114.3 OFFSET: 35

FAST WHEELS FC04A (PAINTED/TITANIUM)
WHEELS 18X8, 5/114.3 OFFSET:40

Q3: Has anyone installed these on a CX50? Again, tire brand and specs, experience thus far, and any photos would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

I am thinking of 255 55 18 tires with an 18X8 ET38 wheel set up so the tires are more flush with the body. There is a post from a member who has Wildpeak AT3s on a machine gray CX50. Looks good. Would love to see similar photos from anyone who has done a similar mod w/o a lift kit or other suspension changes.
I am also contemplating these with the Wildpeaks. Has anyone used Avids on a CX50 as I know it to be more of a tuner rim. I have seen them on a CX3 but wonder about load rating etc.

If it helps you, you can go up a size on sidewall on the 20s and everything fits fine. Factory is 245/45R20. I went to 245/50R20 to put on Wildpeaks. If you change tire size from factory, be sure to calculate the adjusted correct tire pressure using Tire Pressure Calculator

Thanks for replying, and for the info. Much appreciated.
Be aware when shopping for tires there is a difference between Euro-Metric and P-Metric. All P-Metric are identified easily as they'll be listed like P245/50R20 versus 245/50R20 for Euro-Metric. There may be differences with inflation and load tables. In addition pay attention to the number/letter following. The factory tires have a 99V this describes the load capacity and performance rating. The Falken Wildpeak's are 102V. This is a simple easy indication they'll handle higher load capacity.
