Try a Factory Reset, remove sd card if equipped. See it in Settings, System,
You will also reset any personalized settings.

Noticed turning your phone off prior to updating is not in the instructions this go around. Is that not required anymore?

Many thanks to 'taskrov' it looks like there is an ALL NEW 'Mazda Connect' for the 2025 CX-50,
this is EXCLUSIVE for the 2025 Model Year CX-50 and NO OTHER Mazda Models.

No you can not install NEW
CMU_7230C1A-NA01-10008.kwi in any 2022 to 2024 CX-50's,
this new Version is only for 2025 Model Year~, PLUS as of right now there is no Standalone Update File available from Mazda.

I was hoping that a newer CX-50 CMU firmware would permit the (easily swapped out) CX-90 USB-C/SD card front module to be recognized by 2023-2024 models with the addition of USB-C in the 2025 models. But sounds like that's a lost cause since the support likely then only exists in the separate 2025 model firmware.

Hello ASH8,
Hope you're doing great
My CX-50 2024 GT turbo(Canada) version is 7000C0A-NA05_11022, and I'm having some issues with connectivity. How can I contact you for kwi file 7000C0A-NA05_11026? The private message option is not working for me as of this moment.
Thank you for your help and information.

Today, out of the clear blue, my sound system just quit playing my USB drives that I have been playjng since I bought the car 6,000 miles ago. Thankfully I was a couple miles from my trusty Mazda dealership (CardinaleWay in Mesa, AZ). I stopped in and the service writers I am friends with went through the routine, which is what I had already done....nothing.

They sommoned my long-time favorite tech and he took the car to the garage area. I waited patiently for about30 minutes and the service writer informed me it was in need of an update, which he installed.

I thought we had OTA updates?

See ASH8's post #119 in this thread - partially quoted below.

OTA is not and never will be available for these Mazda Connect Updates as OTA can only take up to 250 MB in SIZE for OTA, these Genuine Mazda Standalone Updates VIA a Local USB Flash Drive are 5 times the size @ OVER 1 GB.
